how does the electron enter in the 6th period??why does it first enter in 5d then in 4s????

Expert Answer
Remeber two rules while filling electrons in the atoms:
- Orbitals are filled in the order of increasing n+l;
- Where two orbitals have the same value of n+l, they are filled in order of increasing n.
Where n = primary quantum number and l= azimuthal quantum number.
So, electron will enter in 6s and then in 5d.
