Wet and dry bulb thermometer:

  1. It has two identical thermometers fixed to a wooden frame.
  2. A dry thermometer has the bulb exposed to air.
  3. A wet thermometer has the bulb covered with a muslin cloth which is dipped in water.
  4. It is used to measure the relative humidity of temperature.
  5. When air is saturated, evaporation stops and the two bulbs show the same reading.
