Weeds are undesirable and unwanted plants present in the cultivated farm. They compete with crops for food, space and light. They can be controlled by the following methods: i) Mechanical methods like uprooting and weeding ii) Cultural methods like intercropping and crop rotation iii) Using weedicides iv) Biological control such as using insects which consume and destroy the weeds
