ICSE Class 8 Answered
how do we change interrogative to declarative
Asked by rekha | 11 Oct, 2018, 06:02: PM
Expert Answer
Interrogative sentences are question sentences whereas declarative are normal sentences.
Interrogative sentences always ask a question or request information.
To convert an interogative sentence into a declarative sentence try answering the question. Rewrite the sentences. Turn the yes or no question into a statement. Change the word order and (in some cases) the form of the verb if necessary.
Helping verbs should be changed.
If there are do, does or did then use action verbs in changed forms.
