Expert Answer
Adaptations in aerial animals to protect themselves:
- In birds, the forelimbs are modified into wings. Their bones are light and hollow. They also have special flight muscles, which provide additional strength for flying. Tails help them to steer and maintain body balance. This enables them to escape their predator by flying high.
- They can make different sounds to warn against incoming danger.
- They have pointed beak which they can use to hurt their predator in case of an attack.
