Expert Answer
(12) when a body is projcted vertically upwards, its height h as a function of time t is given by, h =ut-(1/2)gt2 ,
where u is initial speed, g is acceleration due to gravity. h(t) is a quadratic function in time t,
vertical distance travelled per given interval of time keep on decreasing.
Hence graph(C) shows the variation of height with respect to time t
(13) when an object is moving without any external force, its speed is constant.
Hence graph(B) shows the constant speed with respect to time t
(14) when a body is pulled by a horizontal net force, if force is constant, then it is subjected to uniform acceleration a .
Displacemnt S for this movemenr of this body, S = (1/2)at2 , a quadratic function in time t.
Distance moved in equal interval of time keep on increasing. Hence graph(D) shows this kind of motion
