Hi Sir/Madam I did not understand below question and not sure how we will get answer, Would you please advise how we get the answer Question:If the ammeter in the given circuit reads 2A, the resistance R is attached the picutre

Equivalent resistance of parallel combination of resistors 3Ω and 6Ω is 2Ω as shown below
 
If R1 and R2 are connected parallel, then equivalent resistance Re = (R1 R2 )/(R1 + R2) = ( 6 × 3 ) / (6 + 3 ) = 2Ω
 
Hence, as shown in figure , given circuit is redrawn with equivalent resistance of 6Ω and 3Ω.
 
Current in the circuit = 6 V / (2+R) Ω = 2 A 
 
From above equation, we get, R = 1 Ω
