Glycolysis is also termed as EMP pathway acoording to the scientists Embedden, Meyerhoff and Parnas. It is the pathway in which glucose converts into pyruvate.

TCA (Tricarboxylic acid) cycle or Citric acid cycle in which a series of chemical reactions used by all aerobic organisms to generate energy through the oxidization of acetate derived from carbohydrates, fats and proteins into carbon dioxide.

TCA cycle starts with pyruvate , which is the end product of glycolysis, the first step of all types of cell respiration.
