vinyl halide is any alkene with at least one halide substituent bonded directly on one of the unsaturated carbons.
 vinyl chloride
 
 
An aryl halide is when halogen group is attached to an aromatic ring.
 
 
In such molecules the carbon on which the halide is attached is always sp2 hybridised.
