Copper is having low specific resistance. Hence connection wires made up of copper will have low resistance. Connection wires made up of copper will not affect the current in the circuit and loss of energy due to heating also prevented because of low resistance.
 
Tungsten wire is used to make filament of electric bulb because melting point of tungsten is very high.
