(1) Segregation is an important step in the process of waste management because proper segregation of wastes helps the municipal authorities to decompose and dispose off the organic part of the wastes easily.
(2) A drainage system is required to carry all kinds of fluid wastes because if not done so, the watery fluids would accumulate in pits and puddles and will become breeding places for mosquitoes and other harmful insects.
