Give reason wood is an insulator

Insulators are the substance which doesn't allow the flow of electricity or heat through them
Wood doesn't have the free electron to allow flow of electricity through. Therefore it offers high resistance.
Atoms present in the wood doesn't transfer heat to their neighbouring atoms There is no conduction, convection or radiation to allow the flow of heat.
Hence, wood is an insulator.
