- Kinetic theory of matter tells that matter is considered to be made of small particles in random motion.
- Matter consists of small particles called molecules.
- The molecules are always in random motion.
- The molecules attract one another with a force which decreases as the distance between them increases.
- Molecules of a given substance are all alike and differ from the molecules of other substances.
- The kinetic energy of the molecules depends upon the temperature. It increases with the rise in temperature.
