(1) Fractional distillation is used to separate mixtures of miscible liquids like alcohol - water mixture and benzene - toluene mixture in the laboratory.
(2) It is used to separate crude oil petroleum into useful fractions such as kerosene, petrol, natural gas, naphtha, diesel etc.

(3) Fractional distillation of liquid air is used to separate the different gases from the air.

In CBSE Grade 9 SC text book mentioned 25 degree K is the minimum  difference of boiling point required to apply distilation technique to seperate mixture, but in most of the site it mentioned 25  degree Celcius  , which one is correct?
