For what value of k the points (k,-3)lies on the line 3x-y=6

Since, the point (k, -3) lie on the line 3x - y = 6.
 
It will satisfy the given linear equation.
 
x = k and y = -3
 
3x - y = 6
→ 3(k) - (-3) = 6
→ 3k + 3 = 6
→ 3k = 3
→ k = 1
