potential energy = m×g×h = V×ρ×g×h = p×t
 
m = mass = Volume (V) × density (ρ)
p = power in Watts, t = time in seconds
 
i horse-power = 746 Watts
 
5×1000×9.8×15 = 2×746×t ; hence we get t = 493 s = 8 min 13 s
