Consider a point on y - axis is (0, y) which divides given points are in the ratio k : 1
Hence,
(0, y) = begin mathsize 16px style open parentheses fraction numerator 2 minus 3 straight k over denominator straight k plus 1 end fraction comma fraction numerator negative 2 minus 5 straight k over denominator straight k plus 1 end fraction close parentheses end style
begin mathsize 16px style fraction numerator 2 minus 3 straight k over denominator straight k plus 1 end fraction equals 0
2 minus 3 straight k equals 0
