the  only possible pairs are

(5,5),(5,6) as 5 must appear on the first die

We know that the sample space of this experiment has 36 elements.

Where S = sample space={(1,1),(1,2)...(1,6)

                                                   (2,1)(2,2,)...(2,6)

                                                   .

                                                  (6,1),(6,2)....(6,6)}

Hence required probability=2/36=1/18
