find the moment of inetia of copper uniform disc relative to the symmetry axis perpendicular to the plane of the disc if its thickness is equal to the b=2.0 mm and its radius is R=100 mm

Answer:
Moment of inertia I = MR2 / 2    where M is mass of disc and R is radius

Mass M = ρ×πR2×d, where d is thickness and ρ is density (ρ = 8960 kg/m3 )

Hence I = ρ×( πR4×d ) /2  = 8960 (π×1004 × 10-12 × 2 × 10-3 )/2 ≈ 2.81 × 10-3 kg m2
