CBSE Class 12-science Answered
Find the magnetic field produced by a long straight conductor of length L carrying current I of negligible area of cross section at a point on the conductor itself?
Asked by Topperlearning User | 18 May, 2015, 02:29: PM
Expert Answer
Since the point lies on the conductor itself, therefore θ = 0 = sin θ = 0
According to Biot Savart’s Law
For sin θ = 0, dB = 0
Therefore, there is no magnetic field induction at any point on the thin linear current carrying conductor.
