Find the equation of straight line whose angle of inclination is 45o and y-intercept -5.

Slope of the line is m = tan
i.e. m = tan 450 = 1
By slope-intercept form, the equation of line is y = mx+ c
The y-intercept is -5 , i.e. c = -5
Hence, the equation of the straight line is y = (1)x -5
i.e.y = x - 5
i.e.x - y - 5 = 0
