Find the area levelled by a roller in 100 revolutions if radius and length of the roller is 35 cm and 1 m respectively.

Given: radius (r) = 35 cm

Length (h) = 1 m = 100 cm

 

Let S be the curved surface area of the roller.

 

begin mathsize 12px style straight S space equals space 2 πrh straight S space equals space 2 cross times 22 over 7 cross times 35 cross times 100 straight S space equals space 22000 space cm squared end style

 

Area covered in 100 revolutions = 100 × 22000 cm2 = 2200000 cm2 = 220 m2
