Find domain and range of 1\under root 9-x2

Answer:
As the quantity under the root cannot be negative,
hence, 9 - x2 ? 0
9 ? x2
x2 ? 9
-3 ? x ? 3
Hence, domain = [-3, 3]

Now, for any value of x such that -3 ? x ? 3, the value of f(x) will lie between 0 and 3.
Hence, range of f(x) is [0, 3].
