when the elevator is moving down with acceleration, force acting on the wedge due to weight of block is m(g-a) with respect to wedge.
Component of force accelerating the block with respect to wedge m(g-a)sinθ, hence acceleration is (g-a) sinθ
By substituting values, we get, acceleration = (10 -5) (1/2) = 2.5 m/s2
