Expert Answer
2x2 + 7x + 3
Let us try to split the middle term to get factors such that their sum is the middle term.
We get,
2x2 times 3 = 6x2
And,
Let two factors be 1x and 6x so that their sum is 7x (middle term) and their product is 6x2.
We will simplify now,
2x2 + 6x + x + 3
2x(x + 3) + 1(x + 3)
(2x + 1) (x + 3)
