Cold-blooded animals are those which can change their body temperature according to the external environment i.e. they lack the ability to regulate their body temperature. Example- Reptiles, amphibians
 
Warm-blooded animals are those that can generate their own body temperature and maintain it independently. Example- Birds, mammals
