Working of the Stevenson screen:
- It holds the thermometer which records temperature.
- It is painted with white colour to reflect sunlight.
- The thermometer is kept in box to protect it from the direct rays of the Sun.
- It is fixed on a height of 1.5 m above the ground.
- This box also contains a thermograph, a wet and dry bulb thermometer and a hygrograph.
