Explain parts of pistils .

- Gynoecium is the female organ of the flower.
- It consists of the pistil or carpel.
- The pistil is made of a stigma, style and ovary.
- The stigma is the anterior part. It receives pollen grains.
- The style is the middle part of the carpel. It connects the stigma to the ovary which is the third part.
- The ovary contains female gametes called ovules.
