CBSE Class 12-science Answered
Explain intensity of radiation in terms of wave theory and photon theory
Asked by Topperlearning User | 04 Jun, 2014, 01:23: PM
Expert Answer
According to wave theory, higher intensity means greater electric field amplitude hence greater energy of radiation. According to photon theory higher intensity means more photons are incident on metal surface. The energy of incident photons depends upon the frequency of radiation and not upon its intensity.
