Volume of water = 1 Litre = 1000 cm3 = 1000×10-6 m3 = 10-3 m3
 
volume of one molecule  =  begin mathsize 12px style fraction numerator 10 to the power of negative 3 end exponent over denominator 6.02 cross times 10 to the power of 26 end fraction space almost equal to space 1.66 space cross times 10 to the power of negative 30 end exponent space m cubed divided by m o l e c u l e end style
if we assume a molecule is spherical in shape, then diameter d of this sphere is obtained from, 
 
(1/6)πd3 = 1.66×10-30 m3    or  d ≈ 1.5×10-10 m
