Equal lengths of magnesium ribbons are taken in test tubes A and B. Hydrochloric acid is added to test tube A while acetic acid is added to test tube B. Amount and concen tration taken for both the acids are same. In which test tube will the fizzing occur more vigorously and why?

Fizzing will occur more in test tube A because:
i) HCl is a strong acid while CH3COOH is a weak acid
ii) HCl completely dissociates into H+ and Cl- ions while CH3COOH wont completely ionise!!!
