We have 120 V, 10Ω battery. It means the EMF of the battery is 120 V and its internal resistance 10Ω.

Electric bulbs are operating at 100 V to get full power. If load connected to battery is parallel connection of electrical bulbs,
we need 100V potential difference across load as shown in figure. Hence remaining 20V is dropped across the internal resistance of battery.
From this we can infer that a current of 2 ampere is passing through the circuit, when potential difference of 100 V appears across load.

Rating of electrical bulb is 50W, 100V. Hence current drawn by elelectrical bulb at full power is 50/100 = 0.5A .

Since the maximum current to get 100 V operating voltage across load is 2 Amps , we can connect 4 bulbs in parallel.
