An amount which is withdrawn by the owner/proprietor of a firm/business for his personal purposes is termed as drawings. In the above statement also, cash of Rs.185 has been withdrawn by the owner for his son's birthday party which is a personal expense. Therefore, such withdrawal of cash of Rs.185 for his son's birthday party will be classified as drawings and the following journal entry is to be passed:
 
Drawings A/c                 ...Dr. 185
     To Cash A/c                            185
