Draw the graph of the linear equation 2x + 3y = 12 (i) Write the co-ordinates of a point where graph intersects x-axis. (ii) From the graph show whether points (3, 2) and (-3, 6) are the solutions of the equation.

(i) Co-ordinates of point where graph intersects x-axis is :

As the point is on x axis, so,y=0.

so 2x=12

x=6

the point on x- axis will be:(6,0).

(ii) Point (3,2) and (-3,6) lie on graph

(3, 2) and (-3, 6) are solutions of the equation.
