Step-1. Draw the triangle ABC. We need to get the mid point D of AB.
To get mid points, let us draw arcs of equal length using A and B as centre.
These arcs are drawn on both sides of AB as shown in figure and make sure these arcs drawn on each side meet.
Join the meeting points of arc and this joining line will meet AB at D.
Step-2. We need to draw a line parallel to AC from D to opposite side BC.
To draw this parallel line we use the property that line joing the mid points of two sides of triangle is parallel to third side.
Hence we need to get the mid point E of BC.
To get mid point E of BC, follow the procedure given in step-1 so that equal length arcs are drawn on both sides of BC and
join the meeting points of arcs to get midpoint E as shown in figure.
Step-3 :- join the mid points D and E using ruler
