Expert Answer
Steps of construction:
1. Draw a line segment AB = 7.5cm.
2. With A as centre, and radius more than half of AB, draw arcs above and below AB.
3. With B as centre and the same radius as in step 2 draw arcs intersecting the previous arcs at R and S.
4. Join RS intersecting AB at P.
5. Then P is the point of bisection of line segment AB.
6. With P as centre and any convenient radius draw an arc intersecting PB and RB at L and M respectively.
7. Taking any convenient radius, draw arcs from L and M and let them intersect at N.
8. Join PN and produce it to X.
Then angle XPB is the required angle equal to 45o.
