Double ordinate of parabola y2 = 4ax. Find the locus of point of trisection

Let us take two ordinate points P(x1, y1) and Q(x1 , -y1) on parabola.
Let a point R, with coordinate (xp , yp) be a trisection point that trisects PQ.
 
since PR:QR = 1:2 , begin mathsize 12px style y subscript p space equals space fraction numerator negative y subscript 1 space plus space 2 y subscript 1 over denominator 3 end fraction space equals space y subscript 1 over 3 end style
Hence trisection points on both side of axis are (x1 , y1/3 ) and  (x1 , -y1/3 )
 
begin mathsize 12px style y subscript p superscript 2 space equals space fraction numerator y subscript 1 superscript 2 over denominator 9 end fraction space equals space fraction numerator 4 a x subscript 1 over denominator 9 end fraction space equals space fraction numerator 4 a x subscript p over denominator 9 end fraction

hence locus is y2 = (4/9)ax
