Sugar and Salt will not get chemically mixed when they are heated in a beaker together.

This is because, when both salt and sugar is heated in the glass beaker on a hot plate; within a few minutes, the sugar starts melting. The melted sugar turns brown and begins to smoke. Finally, the melted sugar turns black and becomes a solid. Melting Point of Sugar is 146oC

Salt will also melt but it requires a much higher temperature due to the higher lattice energy that salt has due to its strong ionic bonds. Melting Point of Salt is 801oC. Hence, salt will not melt in a glass beaker. The beaker may get cracked.
