CBSE Class 12-science Answered
Does a LC circuit exists?
If yes, then by formula (tan of phase angle=reactance of inductor - reactance of capacitor/R) what is the value of tan phase angle??

Expert Answer
LC circuit means circuit with zero resistance.
This is not possible, because the inductor has some resistance R .
Hence only LCR circuit exsist
phase angle φ is given by, tanφ = ( XC - XL ) / R
where XC is capacitive reactance, XC = 1/Cω and XL is inductive reactance , XL = Lω
R is resistance of inductance coil
