No, it is not because division of history in each and every country is based on important events that took place in that country. For example, Renaissance in Europe in the 16th century marked the beginning of the Modern Age in Europe. On the contrary, the modern Age in India is said to have begun with the decline of the Mughal Empire and the beginning of colonial domination.
