- Asia: India and Thailand
Africa: Parts of East Africa and Madagascar.
Central America: Jamaica and Nicaragua.
- Temperature: During the summers, the temperature varies between 270C to 300C in the coastal areas while the temperature is quite high in the interiors which ranges between 350C to 400C. During winters, the temperature may drop down to 50C in the interiors while it varies between 220C to 250C in the coastal areas.
- Rainfall: The South West monsoon brings rainfall in the summer season. Rainfall is not uniform in this region as many factors like cyclones affect the rainfall. In India, the annual rainfall varies from 75 cm to 200 cm. The highest rainfall in the world has been recorded at Mawsynram near Cherrapunji.
- Natural vegetation: The natural vegetation has a wide variety of forests. While several coastal regions have Tropical Evergreen Rainforests, Deciduous forests are generally found in this type of climate. The trees shed their leaves during the dry season. Main species of trees are sal, teak, sandalwood and bamboo.
- Crops: Agriculture is the main occupation of the people in these regions. Crops that are cultivated are rice, wheat, millet, maize, sorghum, beans, rubber, pulses, tea, jute, coffee, sugarcane etc.
