Land is a bad conductor and a good radiator of heat. Therefore, it quickly gets heated during the day. This results in the building of low pressure area over land and high pressure area over the sea. Since winds blow from high pressure area to the low pressure area, winds blow from sea to land which are called sea breeze.
During nights, the land cools down rapidly creating high pressure conditions. Low pressure area gets created over the oceans. Thus, the land breezes blow from land to the oceans. This is known as land breeze.
