1 One cotyledon in embryo. Two cotyledons in embryo.
2 Fibrous root system Tap root system
3 Parallel venation of leaves. Reticulate venation of leaves
4 Trimerous flowers Pentamerous flowers
5 vascular bundles scattered and closed VAscular bundles in a ring and open.

Pteridophytes do not bear seeds whereas phanerogams bear seeds.

Pteridophytes do not have flowers. The Angiosperms of Phanerogams produce flowers.

Reproductive organs are inconspicuous in Pteridophytes whereas they are well -differentiated in phanerogams.
