Expert Answer
Emf of a cell
Terminal potential difference of a cell
Emf of cell is amount of work done in driving a unit charge around the circuit
It is the potential difference between two terminals of the cell when the cell is in the closed circuit. That means, when the current is being drawn from the cell.
It is constant quantity and depends upon the nature and composition of the cell.
