Determine the value of x , the following function are incrasincr or decreasing

-3x^2+12x+8

F(x) = -3x2 +12x +8
 
dF/dx = -6x+12
 
if dF/dx is +ve, function value is increasing. Hence for increasing function -6x+12>0  or x > 2
 
if dF/dx is -ve, function value is decreasing. Hence for decreasing function -6x+12<0  or x < 2
