Relationship between the SI unit of CGS unit can be determined if the quantity is known.

For example,
If quantity is mass and we need to determine the relationship between its SI unit and CGS unit then it can be done as follows: -

SI unit of mass = kilogram (kg)
CGS unit of mass =  gram (g)

Then relation between the two is given as,

1 kg = 1000 g

OR

1 g = 0.001 kg

Below you can find some physical quantities and relationship between their SI and CGS units: -

Physical Qunatity SI unit  CGS unit
Volume   1 m3
106 cm3
Area 1  m2 104 cm2
Density  1000 kg/m3 1 g/cm3
Speed 1 m/s 100 cm/s
