Answer:
Potential difference across diode is 2 V and the diode is at forward bias . Hence the diode is conducting.
when the diode is conducting , if we measure the voltage across point A and ground ,
we have two cells of unequal EMF connected in parallel.

To get the equiavlent EMF of two cells connected in parallel, we should know the internal resistance of each cell.

If two cells of EMF  begin mathsize 14px style epsilon subscript 1 end style and begin mathsize 14px style epsilon subscript 2 end style are connected in parallel and r1 and r2 are their respective internal resistances ,
then equivalenet EMF begin mathsize 14px style epsilon subscript e q end subscript end style is given as

begin mathsize 14px style epsilon subscript e q end subscript over r subscript e q end subscript space equals space epsilon subscript 1 over r subscript 1 plus space epsilon subscript 2 over r subscript 2 end style

where begin mathsize 14px style r subscript e q end subscript end style is given as begin mathsize 14px style 1 over r subscript e q end subscript equals space 1 over r subscript 1 plus 1 over r subscript 2 end style
