Design an activity to show how convection currents are set up in the air and what is the nature of these currents?

Activity to show how convection currents are set up in the air:
(i) Place a candle in a beaker or wide mouthed bottle and light it.
(ii)Light an incense stick and take it to the mouth of the bottle.
(iii)The smoke flows up.
The pattern reveled by the smoke shows the direction in which hot and cold air move.
