Expert Answer
The number and arrangement of teeth in the jaws i.e. dentition in organisms is related to their diet.
- Some herbivores (guinea pig) have a pair of very sharp, chisel-shaped incisors in each jaw.
- Goat and cow have wide, blunt teeth for chewing.
- Canines are absent in herbivores, in their place there is a gap.
