- Solidification: The process in which a gas condenses directly into its solid state is called as solidification. Example: Carbon dioxide gas gets converted into dry ice.
- Vapourisation: The process by which a liquid changes into vapour state at a constant temperature by absorption of heat is called as vapourisation. Example: Water (liquid) vapourises to steam (gas) at a temperature of 100°C.
- Boiling point: It is the temperature at which a liquid changes into gases state is called boiling point. The boiling point of water is 100oC.
- Condensation: The process by which gas changes into liquid state at a constant temperature by releasing heat is called as condensation.
